Best Outdoor TV Antennas (Amplified)

New amplified outdoor antennas (just like the "rabbit ears" of old) give you free-for-life access to local over-the-air stations such as NBC, CBS, FOX, ABC, PBS, and Telemundo (subject to availability) that are within a 30-70 mile range from your home's location. These types of outdoor antennas are amplified and are powerful enough to run all the televisons within your home at once.

Outdoor Antenna Rankings

There are a lot of amplified (powered) outside antennas available on the market today. Sizes, portability, quality and features differ between them all. We've reviewed all the popular outdoor amplified antennas on the market so you don't have to.

Here are our top 5 digital outdoor HDTV antennas based on our internal testing and analysis.

#1. Marathon

Our Rating: (4.5/5)

Free Signal TV basically has one product, and it's the Marathon HDTV Antenna. This antenna gets glowing reviews online and comes with a direct line to talk to some antenna experts regarding any purchasing or troubleshooting questions you may have.

I set this antenna up in my home, and I was blown away with its quality and durability. It is amplified and can sit inside an attic or on a roof.

#2. NoCable 70

Our Rating: (4.0/5)

The NoCable 70 moves up a spot from where it was last year due to the better amplifier now provided with the antenna. This antenna is sturdy and durable just like the Marathon, but a few inches taller.

As with all other NoCable products, this antenna comes with extensive troubleshooting help in the form of smartphone apps, an online wiki and a ticket system to put you in touch with one of their experts.

#3. ClearStream 4MAX

Our Rating: (3.8/5)

The ClearStream 4MAX is uniquely shaped and has quite a large footprint. This design is meant to help it capture as much UHF and VHF signals as possible. The lifetime warranty on parts and their AntennaPoint service should help you with anything that goes wrong regarding this antenna.

#4. Antop UFO

Our Rating: (3.8/5)

The Antop UFO really does look like a UFO, which also gives it a unique advantage in picking up 360° of signal. Antop is maybe a lesser known name in the antenna industry, but they are by far one of the largest in manufacturing volume.

Their available support is a bit light on their website AntopUSA.com, but overall, this antenna should perform beautifully (I know it works great on top my brother's home).

#5. Mohu Sky 60

Our Rating: (3.5/5)

The Mohu Sky 60 is a little smaller than other outdoor antennas we have on our list, thus reducing its range slightly. Mohu is one of the most respected antenna brands in the market, and most of that surrounds the fact their technology was originally developed for military use.

This little antenna performs very well, comes with a pole mount and also comes with Mohu's full support (phone and wiki).
